Apple Watch Charger okay to leave plugged in 24/7?

Surely that only applies when the Watch is on the charger, consuming power. An empty charger draws no current

When the transformer is plugged in but not charging it does not produce heat, or anything else for that matter, it only produces heat when current is being drawn, the actual charger is built in as it is with the iPhone and iPad etc, or any other phone for that matter. Therefore it will do no harm to your charger or cost huge amounts of money to leave it plugged in when not being used. I have a I pod touch transformer that for four years has been plugged in at my bedside whether the iPod is on, off, connected, not connected, and it still work fine.

Ah, I misunderstood. I thought you were asking the fairly common question about whether it's okay to leave something on charge for long periods of time

Yes, you can leave the cable plugged in.

and the DC level is 5volt and the AC is 230volt or 110volt depending on where one is,

but there is a loss where some of the current turn into another source of energy which is heat,

so unless one flip the switch on any charger one use, it will use current and cost money on the electric bill.

Lithium ion batteries last longer over time if they are used regularly but, no, you won't hurt it. Of course, you also won't get much use out of your watch.
